At La Bande Berlin is more than beautiful silk styles. We’re trying to disrupt consumption as we know it and are part of a movement towards more responsible consumption. We are 100% direct-to-consumer.

From the beginning we focus on the need of our customers. We understand first what our customers want before we start development. For this, we use 3D technology to develop prototypes of our collections for the pre-orders. This already reduces waste in the manufacturing process.

Sustainability in fashion means only producing what people want. We produce „on demand and offer discounts prior production instead of later on in sales period. Pre-orders help us better understand your interest so we can produce more of what you like and less of what you don’t.

Based on the pre-order sales we calculate exactly how many units of each style should be produced and begin manufacturing. Zero waste is the way forward. This is how we fight overproduction, reduce waste and protect the environment.

We express our clear commitment to slow fashion. Every couple of months we put out a new drop with new styles or colors. New drops are available for pre-order discount at launch but for a limited time only. After that time they will stay full price until they are sold out. We are not doing end-of-season sales to dump cloths nobody wants. We know from what our costumers ask for.

In terms of pricing, the pre-order concept reverts the sales cycle. We turn the fashion circle upside down.
